Geralf is a blue-aligned stitcher and Gisa is a black-aligned necromancer from the plane of Innistrad. After laying waste to the moorlands with their necrowars the siblings joined forces and laid siege to the city of Thraben.
Nothing is known about either Geralf or Gisa’s lives other than they are the scions of a noble family and are distant relative of Mikaeus the Lunarch. After a hushed scandal the siblings were banished from Thraben and took refuge in the moorlands.
After being banished from Thraben the siblings began a long necrowar on the moorlands outside of Thraben, both raising large armies of undead to use to battle the other’s army.
During this time Geralf took over Trostad, most likely massacring any occupants that did not flee, where he established his laboratory. Also during this time many moorland residents fled to Nearheath leaving the moorland even more desolate than before.
Siege of ThrabenEdit
These necrowars last some time until they ended when Geralf asked Gisa to help him lay siege to Thraben. Together, with the skaab general Grimgrin, they cut a swath of destruction from the moorland to the city of Thraben.
While Gisa led the legion of undead and Grimgrin battered the main gate of the city Geralf slipped into the city unnoticed by its defenders. He made his way to the chambers of the Lunarch where Mikaeus was writing in his journal. Geralf knocked on the Lunarch’s door and when Mikaeus opened the door Geralf assaulted him with a letter opener before succeeding in murdering him.
Geralf cut out the Lunarch’s heart for his sister before leaving the Lunarch’s chambers. At this time he ran into Liliana Vess who was searching for Mikaeus to find out the whereabouts of the demon Griselbrand. After departing from Liliana Geralf returned to the siege finding his army in ruins having been destroyed by Thalia’s quick thinking.
Gisa blamed Geralf for their defeat and returned to the moorland where she would later be captured.
